Theseprobes have fewer design constraints thanTwistAmp?exoProbe, although kinetics of fluorescence accumulation may beslower. In addition to the basic components it contains a powerfulnuclease (fpg) which will process TwistAmp fpg Probe during theamplification reaction itself and generate a real-time read-out.The presence of fpg will not reduce the final overall yield ofamplified material in contrast to the use of Exonuclease III in theTwistAmp?exokit allowing end point gel analysis, but the kinetics of probecutting are sometimes slower than with the exo system.
